Agriculture

WHY AGRICULTURE?

“And The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He formed”. Gen. 2:8. Man’s first work in the pristine pre-fall environment was agriculture. “And The Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”

One of our goals at Back2Eden is to recreate this garden environment, it is our intention to dress and keep the acres of agricultural land that God has blessed us with. Our pioneers knew of the importance of agriculture to health and character development and we will research and follow the counsels received as we establish our Edenic garden home.

We are heading to the time of the passing of the National Sunday Law. The servant of The Lord refers to this event as the last act in the drama of the great controversy between Christ and Satan {7T p. 141}. When this happens Seventh Day Adventist will loose all their religious liberties, we would not be able to buy or sell (Rev. 13:17). God has given us specific counsels what we ought to do in preparation for this time. We are counseled to move into the country and begin to plant our food and teach our children to be self sufficient. The country areas will be the best place for character development.

It was not God’s purpose that people should be crowded into cities, huddled together in terraces and tenements. In the beginning He placed our first parents amidst the beautiful sights and sounds He desires us to rejoice in today. The more nearly we come into harmony with God’s original plan, the more favorable will be our position to secure health of body, and mind, and soul.–The Ministry of Healing, pp. 363-365.
